TIPS FOR GIRLS
"Happiness and confidence are two of the most beautiful things you can wear."
- Taylor Swift
- Bring Several Outfits
Having more than planned allows a chance to change your mind and also mix and match depending on the location.
- Dress in Layers
Mixing layers and textures creates interest and looks that can easily be changed.
- Wear Jewelry
Jewelry is an easy way to add depth. Be sure to bring different jewelry for each outfit or at lease enough to change out with outfits.
- Bring Extra Shoes
Have shoes to mix and match with outfits and as backups if needed.
- Flesh Colored Underthings
Colors, black and even white may show thru clothing depending on the light. Having a strapless bra helps keep things simple and not distracting. Spaghetti straps on the cute new top look great, bra straps not so much.
- Try On Outfits
It's frustrating to get to your photo session only to find out that your new favorite dress isn't as long as you remember. Or perhaps that super cute top got a little smaller in the wash. Trying everything on before your session also let's you see how well pieces go together and that layers and jewelry look great too.
- Glasses
If you wear prescription glasses and worry about glare you can contact your Optometrist about borrowing a set of frames or temporarily removing the lenses from your existing frames. This will not only eliminate glare but will keep the eyes from appearing "cloudy". Websites such as www.eyebuydirect.com allow you to upload a photo and try different styles to see what YOU look like. Lenses can easily be added later if the frames are well liked.
- Be Yourself
Senior portraits are a reflection of who you are. Being comfortable with your wardrobe will help you feel more relaxed and confident in front of the camera.
